Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, issued an order, approving the Kuppam sub division with six police stations.

On the 2nd of November, Mr. Harish Kumar Gupta, the  State Home Department Principal Secretary, on behalf of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government, issued the orders. The Kuppam sub division would be formed by merging two Mandals under the Palamaneru sub-division along with four Mandals in the Kuppam constituency in Andhra Pradesh.

The establishment work would be done under the YSRCP led Andhra Pradesh Government.

According to sources, the Kuppam police sub-division would be formed with Kuppam, Gudupalle, Shantipuram and Ramakuppam Mandals in the Kuppam constituency and V. Kota and Byreddypalle Mandals under the Palamaneru subdivision. 

Moreover, for the Kuppam sub division with six police stations, Palamaneru Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Gangaiah would act in charge of the new police sub division, until the appointment of a new DSP.
