The Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Government, appointed Vineet Brijal, a senior Indian Public Service (IPS) officer as the Commissioner of Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB.)

Recently, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) announced to constitute SEB, a task force to handle and prevent illegal sand and liquor trafficking in the State.

Nilam Sawheny, the Chief Secretary of A.P., on the 12th of May, issued the transfer order of Vineet Brijal.   IPS Brijal was serving as  the Director of Excise Enforcement in an Inspector General (IG) cadre.  

While Vineet Brijal is the new Commissioner of SEB, Damodar Gautam Sawang, the Director General of Police (DGP) of A.P., has been appointed as the Ex Officio Principal Secretary to Government, SEB.  DGP Sawang would have additional charges as the Chief Secretary  of the SEB.

The other officers given the position of Superintendent of Police (SPs) and Additional SPs are K. Arif Hafeez, Dr. Garud Sumit Sunil, Rahul Dev Singh, Ajit Vejendla, Gautami Shali, Vakul Jindal and Y. Rishant Reddy.

Vakul Jindal – ASP of Krishna 

Y. Rishant Reddy – ASP of Chittoor

The appointed officers took over their respective charges from the 13th of May.
