Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister (CM) of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) on the 26th of August, left for Delhi in his special aircraft.

During his Delhi tour, Jagan Mohan Reddy will attend the Inter State Council Meeting which will be chaired by Amit Shah, the Home Minister of India.  The meeting is said to be organised to discuss the security issues in the Maoist affected areas in India.

After the Inter State Council Meeting, Jagan is expected to meet Amit Shah personally regarding the security issues and other issues in Andhra Pradesh.

Apart from Amit Shah, the AP Chief Minister will also meet Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, a Union Cabinet Minister in the Jal Shakti Ministry.  During the meeting Jagan Mohan Reddy will clarify the steps of the AP Government towards the Polavaram Irrigation Project.

Recently, the Union Energy Department and the Jal Shakti Ministry issued a notice to the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) for its reverse tenders for the Polavaram Project.

The Polavaram Project is one of the major projects of AP which will provide water to farmers for irrigation and resolve the water crisis in the State.

Jagan will return to Andhra Pradesh on the 26th of August.
