Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) reviewed the rain situation in the State. In the past few days, the State witnessed heavy to moderate rainfall and created chaos in the State for the people of A.P.

Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy held a video conference with the district collectors of five rain affected districts. The five districts which suffered most due to rains are: Prakasam, Nellore, Chittoor, Anantapur and YSR Kadapa. During the video conference, Mr. Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy discussed the steps to be taken to control the situation in the aforementioned five districts.

In addition, the State CM appointed special officers for the three districts (Nellore, Chittoor and YSR Kadapa) to monitor the flood relief operations.

Besides the district collectors of the five districts, The State Chief Secretary Mr. Aadityanath Das, the Secretary to the Department of Education Mr. Budithi Rajshekhar also attended the meeting. They were also appointed to oversee flood relief operations in Nellore.

Mr. Pradyumna, the Marketing Commissioner would oversee rain situation in Chittoor and Mr. Shashi Bhushan Kumar, a Senior Officer of the State Government for YSR Kadapa district.

Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a rain alert for the next 24 hours.
