Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) on the 26th of December, conducted a review meeting with Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) officials about the distribution of land or residences to the needy citizens of the State.

The YSRCP officials organised the meeting to discuss the Housing for Poor scheme, which was launched to benefit the poor people in the State by providing them land or a residence.

Chaired by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the meeting was attended by Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose, the Deputy Chief Minister of A.P., Nilam Sawhney, the Chief Secretary of A.P., and other YSRCP officials.

During the meeting, the officials discussed the process of distributing residences to the beneficiaries in the State.

Under the Housing for Poor scheme, approximately 22,79,670 people were identified as beneficiaries.

Eligible individuals would get sites for residences irrespective of the Party they support, their caste, religion and community.

Though the scheme would be beneficial for the whole family, the registration papers would be under the name of the woman of the house.

The Housing for Poor scheme was one of the major promises made by the YSRCP during the elections’ campaign.
