The planned Delhi trip of Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) has been cancelled.

On the morning of the 24th of September, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy sprained his leg while exercising. He was immediately taken to a doctor, who advised him to have complete rest for a couple of days. He believed the pain would reduce by the evening, following which he could travel, but nothing like that happened and he announced to cancel his Delhi visit on the late night of the 24th of September.

The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO,) released a statement regarding the same, “The Chief Minister sprained his leg while exercising in the morning. Since he is not relieved of the pain till evening, doctors advised him rest. Consequently, his New Delhi trip stands cancelled.”

Although the injury is said to be a minor one, he cancelled his Delhi visit, due to the sprain. Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) President, was scheduled to visit Delhi on the evening of the 25th of September. He has been invited to attend a meeting called by Mr. Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister.

It is to be noted, Mr. Amit Shah called for a special meeting with the chief ministers of Maoist affected States. The meeting is scheduled to be held on the 26th of September. The meeting was organised at 11:00 A.M., on the 26th of September, at Vigyan Bhavan, Delhi. Mr. Amit Shah would chair the meeting and discuss the maoist issue, especially during the Maoist Week Celebration. During the meeting, Mr. Amit Shah would discuss the security and development work in the Maoist affected areas.

Now that Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy would not be a part of the meeting, only chief ministers of Telangana, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh would attend the meeting, called by the Union Minister.
