Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) on the 15th of April, announced a financial aid of Rs. 2,000 to COVID-19 victims.

During a review meeting, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the concerned officials of Coronavirus to pay Rs. 2,000 as financial assistance to patients below the poverty line. However, the amount would be given to the patients after they stay at the quarantine homes and follow the guidelines of the isolation.


Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy asked officials to conduct COVID-19 tests on every suspect of the Coronavirus infection.

Besides, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government asked the officials to aware people of the precautionary measures even after they are discharged and recovered.

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy also announced a financial aid of Rs. 500 for their food and lodging expensed for the BPL patients.

A Superintendent of Police (SOP,) would be incharge of these guidelines and supervise all the facilities arranged in the state run quarantine centres.

The State Government also initiated the second phase of free rice and pulses distribution for the White ration card holders in the State, heavy police force deployed to oversee, lockdown guidelines implementation.

With these updates, Andhra Pradesh reported 502 cases of COVID-19, whereas 18 fresh reports were registered today, the 15th of April.
