Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) conducted a review meeting on the 16th of April.

Jagan Mohan Reddy is conducting review meetings with the officials of the State, handling the pandemic situation due to the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

In today’s meeting, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the officials to take extra care in the districts where the cases of the Novel Coronavirus are high.  

Guntur, Kurnool and Nellore have the highest number of cases in Andhra Pradesh.  The CM asked the officials to supervise the areas and ensure people are following the lockdown rules and social distancing strictly.

In Regard to this, Jagan Mohan Reddy visited the camp office at Tadepalli and oversaw the arrangements to prevent the spread of the virus.   Meanwhile, Self Help Groups (SHG) were given the task of making masks and distributing to the people in the districts of A.P., as wearing a face mask is compulsory, according to the lockdown guidelines.

The State Government also announced a financial assistance of Rs. 2,000 to the COVID-19 patients belonging to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) after they complete their quarantine duration.

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) also announced a second phase of rice and dal distribution to the White ration card holders in the State.

Alla Nani, the Deputy Chief Minister of A.P., Botsa Satyanarayana, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister of A.P., Nilam Sawhney, the Chief Secretary of A.P., Gautam Sawang, the Director General of Police (DGP) of A.P., and Jawahar Reddy, the Special Chief Secretary of the Medical Department of A.P. attended the meeting.
