On the 16th of January, Monday, Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) visited the Pileru Sub Jail.

According to sources, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu visited the jail to call on the party activists who were jailed recently on alleged false cases.  The visit without police permission created a ruckus in the Annamayya district.  When Mr. Chandrababu Naidu tried to enter the district without permission, the district police ceased his campaign vehicle, which led to ruckus and protests by the TDP cadres and workers.  In addition,  Mr. Atchennaidu, the President of the TDP in Andhra Pradesh, lashed out at the police for stopping Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu and called it an abuse of power.   Speaking to the media  Mr.  Atchennaidu demanded that the Director General of Police (DGP) avoid the extremities of Minister Peddireddy, who registered a first information report (FIR) against innocent TDP workers, who were put behind the bars in false cases.

The TDP leader also lashed out the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government for controlling the police and using it against the TDP and its National President Mr. Chandrababu Naidu.

Later, concerned about the situation and protest of the TDP, the police finally permitted Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu to visit the Pileru Sub Jail.
