The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Partry (YSRCP) Agriculture Minister, Mr. Kurasala Kannababu introduced the Agriculture Budget 2022-20223 of Andhra Pradesh.  

After the State Finance Minister Mr. Buggana Rajendra presented the annual budget of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Karasula Kannababu presented the Agriculture Budget of Rs. 11,387.69 crores.  During the budget session, the YSRCP Minister said the Agriculture sector budget was stimulated considering the welfare and growth of farmers of the Telugu State.

According to sources, the Agriculture Marketing department has been allocated Rs. 614.23 crores for agriculture development.  In addition, Rs. 248.45 crores for cooperative societies, Rs. 146.41 crores for food processing, Rs. 554 crores for horticulture and Rs. 98.99 crores for silk industry. 

Furthermore, the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led State Government released Rs. 421.15 crores for the Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University, Rs. 59.91 crores to the YSAR Horticultural University and Rs. 122.50 crores to the Venkateswara Veterinary University. 

In addition, Rs.1,027.82 crores has been allocated to the Animal Husbandry Department and Rs. 337.23 crores for fisheries. An amount of Rs. 5,000 crores for power subsidy.  

In addition, for the Andhra Pradesh Irrigation Sector, the YSRCP Government proposed Rs. 11,450.94 crores for the irrigation sector along with an allocation of Rs. 50 crores for the YSR Jala Kala.

Notably, the Andhra Pradesh Budget Session 2022-2023 which started from the 7th of March, would continue till the 25th of March.
