On the 22nd of March, Tuesday, the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Mr. Tammineni Sitaram, suspended four Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)  

According to sources, the TDP leaders were allegedly creating a ruckus, disrupting the proceedings of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Budget Sessions 2022-2023.  Due to the disturbance by the TDP leaders, the A.P., Assembly Speaker suspended Mr. Satyaprasad, Mr. Bendalam Ashok, Mr. Ramaraju, and Mr. Ramakrishna Babu.  The TDP MLAs allegedly were chanting slogans against the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) over the ongoing J Brand illicit liquor, being sold in the State, which killed hundreds of people.  They staged a protest and demanded action and compensation of Rs. 25 lakhs for all the victims.

The four MLAs would be suspended for the entire Budget Session, which is scheduled to end on the 25th of March.

According to sources, the Andhra Pradesh Budget Assembly Session started on the 7th of March and is scheduled to conclude on the 25th of March, Friday.
