The ongoing Andhra Pradesh Assembly session enters it’s third day on the 22nd of November, Monday.

On Monday, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) is going to discuss various bills, issues and acts, including the Disha Act 2020. This time, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) is emphasising on the women safety and women empowerment matters in the State Assembly session.

Some of the major bills and amendment acts to be introduced in today’s session include: The Horticulture Act, the Backward Class (BC) caste census and the Disha Act. In addition, a detailed discussion would be conducted on several welfare schemes of the A.P., Government for the BCs, the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes and minorities. Of all the topics scheduled to be tabled in today’s session, the most important matter of debate is going to be steps taken and proposed towards women safety and welfare to empower them.

Ms. M. Sucharitha, the Home Minister of A.P., and Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would be speaking on behalf of the YSRCP Government, regarding the women empowerment and safety matter.

Meanwhile, ministers like Mr. Kurasala Kannababu, Mr. Venugopal Krishna would table bills and amendment acts pertaining to the welfare of the agriculture sector and BCs, SCs and STs.

The Assembly session for today, the 22nd of November, started at 11:00 A.M. The session which started from the 18th of November is expected to continue till the 26th of November.
