Sunkara Pavani, the Mayor of Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh (AP,) on the 4th of April, conducted poll campaigns for the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) ahead of the AP Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

Sunkara Pavani supported Chalamalasetti Sunil, a Member of Parliament (MP) candidate, and Venkateswara Rao, a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) candidate of Kakinada, Godavari district, AP.

Chalamalasetti Sunil and Venkateswara Rao are contesting the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections respectively, on TDP tickets.

Sunkara Pavani conducted public rallies in the 29th division of a municipal corporation, in Kakinada. She met the voters and urged them to vote for the TDP in the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

Ms. Pavani also highlighted the welfare schemes and development projects launched by the TDP Government and praised N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of AP and the President of the TDP.

Pavani also addressed women self help groups (SHGs) and asked them to extend their support towards the TDP and help the Party win the AP Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

Andhra Pradesh will contest a total of 175 seats and 25 seats in the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections respectively. The Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha and Assembly elections are scheduled on the 11th of April.

The major parties contesting in Andhra Pradesh are the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) the TDP and the JanaSena Party.

The results of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections will be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.
