The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is continuing its campaign in Andhra Pradesh, ahead of the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.

N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and the President of the TDP, will continue to cover all the Assembly and Parliamentary constituencies till the 9th of April.

According to the guidelines of the Election Commission of India (ECI,) Parties can conduct election campaigns till the 9th of April for the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

The first phase of the Lok Sabha elections will be held on the 11th of April, in approximately 20 states, including Andhra Pradesh.

Apart from the TDP members, political leaders from across India will take part in the upcoming campaigns organised by the Party.

Recently, Naidu conducted roadshows in Anantapur with Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi and the President of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP.)

On the 31st of March, Mr. Naidu will conduct campaigns and public meetings, accompanied by Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, in Visakhapatnam.

Mr. Naidu, who is handling the campaign alone, decided to continue the campaigns with national leaders.

Chandrababu Naidu is expected to invite more national leaders to ensure the success of his campaigns, ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

Political leaders who are expected to join Naidu in upcoming campaigns are Tejashwi Yadav, the President of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD,) M.K. Stalin, the President of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK,) and Mamata Banerjee.

The TDP, with the support of these national leaders, could be seen as a strong Party in the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra Pradesh will contest a total of 175 seats and 25 seats in the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections respectively, scheduled on the 11th of April.

The major parties contesting the Andhra Pradesh elections are the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) the TDP and the JanaSena Party.

The results of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections will be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.
