The Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Government on the 14th of May, announced relaxation of the lockdown guidelines for grocery stores and supermarkets in the State.

According to the released exemptions, stores selling essential commodities, grocery items, fruits and vegetable shops are allowed to open from 10:00 A.M., to 5:00 P.M.

However, the circulation strictly mandates social distancing, face masks and sanitization of shops with less number of staff at work.

On the other hand, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party also arranged special buses to bring back 13,000 stranded A.P., citizens from Hyderabad.  The bus service to bring them back would begin soon in a couple of days.

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh also directed the State police to issue e passes for emergency purpose for inter state travel in Andhra Pradesh.

The e passes would be given to people who have genuine issues and if the reasons given by them turned out to be false, the Police could charge them a fine and a case could be registered under the relevant sections of the penal code.

Meanwhile, on the 14th of May, Andhra Pradesh reported 36 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19, taking the tally to 2,100 with 860 active cases and 48 fatalities.
