In Andhra Pradesh, the State Police registered a case against M. Srinivasa Rao, who allegedly kidnapped a 18 year old woman in Poranki.

According to Penamalur Circle Inspector R. Govindaraju, the victim, a resident of Vaira, Khammam district, came to her uncle’s house in October.   Notably, M. Srinivasa Rao allegedly kidnapped the 18 year old victim, while she was shopping with her family in Poranki. He forcibly took her away on his bike, but left her in Sabbavaram region, in Anakapalli district, Andhra Pradesh.

After being left at Anakapalli, the victim returned home and told what had happened.  After the family complained to the police about this incident, following which the police registered a case of kidnapping. 

It is to be noted, the background of M. Srinivasa Rao and his motive behind the kidnapping is yet to be known. The young woman is being questioned and the accused who has been under police custody is also being interrogated.
