In Andhra Pradesh’s Chodavaram region of Anakapalli district, a young man identified as Srinivasa Rao allegedly attempted suicide.

Notably, on the 12th of October, under the leadership of Mr. Karanam Dharmasri, the Chief Whip of the Andhra Pradesh Government, a bike rally was organised in Chodavaram, in support of three capitals.  During the rally, Srinivasa Rao poured petrol and set a bike on fire. Later, he also tried to set himself on fire and commit suicide.

However, locals and police on spot stepped in and saved Srinivas and controlled the situation.

Notably, demanding decentralisation and three capitals in Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Karanam Dharmasri resigned from his post and is conducting massive protest programs in North districts.  On the 15th of October, followers of Mr. Karanam Dharmasri prepared for a massive protest program in the name of Garjana demanding executive capital in Visakhapatnam.  In the meantime, programs like bike rallies are being organised, in which Andhra Pradesh Ministers and the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) would participate.
