Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the President of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) was sworn in as the Chief Minister (CM) of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) on the 30th of May.

Mr. Jagan took the oath as the CM in the presence of E.S.L. Narasimhan, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh.

The oath taking ceremony began at 12:20 P.M., and was held at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium in Vijayawada.

After the swearing in ceremony, Jagan announced important schemes related to the development of the citizens of Andhra Pradesh.

This is the first term of Jagan Mohan Reddy as the CM of Andhra Pradesh after defeating the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the AP Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.


The YSRCP won the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections with a majority of 150 and 22 seats respectively. The AP Assembly and Lok Sabha elections were held on the 11th of April and the results were announced on the 223rd of May.

Political leaders and ministers such as K. Chandrashekar Rao, the CM of Telangana, M.K. Stalin, the President of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and others were present to attend the event.
