The Telugu state, Andhra Pradesh topped the list of first dose vaccine administration to teenagers between 15 years and 18 years old, in India.

According to the Andhra Pradesh Government, at least 52.82% of the eligible population of teenagers has completed the target in just three days, since the 3rd of January. A total of 12,89,501 children were vaccinated in the state till the 6th of January. On the other hand, Sri Potti Sriramulu in Nellore district has the highest vaccination rate of over 76.09 % in the state.

After Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Himachal Pradesh stood at the second position, in terms of vaccinating COVID-19 next with 49.20 %, followed by Gujarat 45.29%. In addition, Madhya Pradesh recorded 33.44% and Rajasthan 22%.

Meanwhile, a total of 24.41 lakh teenagers are eligible across the state, for which, 15,000 village and ward secretariats have been set up to provide COVAXIN.
