In the latest weather prediction, the Andhra Pradesh Disaster Management said that the heavy rains lashing the state would continue for three more days.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) and the State weather department said, due to the surface trough continuing from Vidarbha to North Tamil Nadu via Telangana and Karnataka, the Telugu State would receive rainfall.
According to the sources, light to moderate rains would occur in the State, starting fro the 2nd of May. Regions like Manyam, Anakapalli, Alluri Sitaramaraju, Kakinada and Konaseema would experience light to moderate rains, while West Godavari, Eluru, Sri Satyasai and Ananthapur districts would receive light to moderate rains here and there and scattered light showers are likely in the rest of the districts.
The weather department experts also alerted people, especially fishermen asking them not to venture out in coastal region amid rain, for the next three days, the 2nd, the 3rd and the 4th of May.
