The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a rain alert in coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.)

Areas like Rayalaseema, Nellore, Podalakur, Kovur and other Mandals are likely to receive heavy rainfall for the next three to four days.

As per the weather forecast and Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Andhra Pradesh is likely to witness moderate to heavy rainfall till Friday, the 19th of November. The rainfall in Andhra Pradesh is due to a low pressure being developed at the Bay of Bengal and runs to the North Andhra Pradesh and coastal areas of the State.

People living in low lying areas are asked to be careful and fishermen of coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh are asked not to venture out near coastal areas.

Besides Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala are also expected to receive rainfall due to the cyclonic circulation from the Bay of Bengal. In the aforementioned states, the IMD issued an orange alert and asked people not to venture out without any emergency.
