The two Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are witnessing heavy to very heavy rainfall.

On the 3rd of August, Wednesday, the Meteorological Department of Andhra Pradesh, issued an alert for rainfall in the Rayalaseema district and the coastal region of the State.  For the next three days, there would be very heavy rainfall in the Rayalaseema region.

Heavy rains are occurring in Rayalaseema districts under the influence of surface through extending from Tamil Nadu to Telangana over Rayalaseema.  In the last 24 hours Sri Satyasai, Anantapur, Nandyal Annamayya, Chittoor, and Kurnool districts received extensive rains, which would continue till the 6th of August.  In addition, Nandikotkur Mandal of Nandyal district received the highest rainfall of 13 cm followed by 11.5 in Jupadu Bangla Mandal, 10.6 in Beerangi Kothakota Mandal of Annamayya district, 

For the past few days, the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have been witnessing heavy rainfall, which has disturbed the people of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.  The vehicular movement was also disturbed in many regions and waterlogged situations with floods were also reported in many areas of the two states.
