Andhra Pradesh Police Department, on the 15th of December,  won the National award.

The State Police Department has been ranked second in the implementation and utilization of the Interoperable Criminal Justice System (ICJS).

The Central Government announced the awards for ICJS.

The Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Gautam Sawang received the award in a virtual manner over the hands of Union Home Affairs Minister Kishan Reddy.

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharita expressed their delight over the awarding of the prestigious National Award to Andhra Pradesh Police Department. While Maharashtra ranked first in ICJS implementation and usage and Telangana ranked third.
