Mr. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, launched several projects in the Telugu State of Andhra Pradesh.

On the 12th of November, Saturday, Mr. Narendra Modi addressed a roadshow in Visakhapatnam and launched projects, on the 12th of November, Saturday. 

Mr. Narendra Modi arrived at Visakhapatnam on a special aircraft, on the 11th of November and held public meetings and roadshows.  He also held a meeting with Mr. Pawan Kalyan, the Chief of the JanaSena Party and other Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders in the State.

In Andhra Pradesh, PM Narendra Modi would stay at the Chola suite of Eastern Naval Command for the night halt. 

On the 12th of November, Saturday, PM Modi launched various projects at an event held at Andhra University Engineering College grounds.  

The launched projects worth Rs. 10,842 crores, include works for a railway redevelopment project ( Rs. 460 crores,) modernisation of the fishing harbour ( Rs. 152 crores,) widening of the road between Sheela Nagar and Convent Junction ( Rs. 566 crores) and laying of GAIL pipeline from Srikakulam to Angul ( Rs. 2,658 crores.)  In addition, he also launched road expansion between Ichapuram and Paralakhemundi ( Rs. 211 crores,) ONGC field development project in Eastern offshore ( Rs. 2,917 crores) and AP section of Visakhapatnam-Raipur greenfield economic corridor ( Rs. 3,778 crores.)

During the inauguration, Mr. Narendra Modi said, “Supply chain and logistics depend on multi-model connectivity.  Therefore, we adopted a new approach towards infrastructure.  We gave importance to an integrated view of development.”  He added, “The investment is increasing in India because of the PLI scheme, GST, IBC, national infrastructure pipeline and Gati Shakti. Besides, we are expanding the schemes for the welfare of the poor (sic.)”

The ,launch event, organised for Mr. Narendra Modi was attended by Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Cabinet ministers in Andhra Pradesh.

After announcing various development projects at the event, Mr. Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting.  A huge number of people gathered at the venue in Visakhapatnam, to attend the public meeting of Mr. Narendra Modi.

Meanwhile, concluding the events in Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Narendra Modi would leave for Hyderabad today.

In Hyderabad,  Mr. Narendra Modi would reach Begumpet Airport  and travel to Ramagundam, where he would dedicate the Ramagundam Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited (RFCL) plant to the nation at Mahatma Gandhi Stadium in the NTPC township.  The plant has been revived at a cost of Rs. 6,338 crores.  Later, Mr. Narendra Modi would attend the RFCL event and then inaugurate the newly laid 54 km railway line between Kothagudem (Bhadrachalam Road) and Sattupalli, built at a cost of Rs. 990 crores.

In addition, Mr. Narendra Modi would also lay the foundation stone for three expansion works on the Sironcha-Mahadevpur, Bodhan-Bhainsa and Medak-Elkathurthi sections of the National Highways in Telangana.  The cost of the three expansion works is said to be worth Rs. 2,268 crores.

After attending the series of events in Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad, Mr. Narendra Modi is expected to return to Delhi on the evening of the 12th of November.
