Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) announced to extend their support to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Presidential candidate Ms. Droupadi Murmu.

On the 24th of June, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has officially declared its support for NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu in the 2022 presidential elections.  The party welcomed the move to field a tribal woman as a presidential candidate for the first time in the history of India. 

Furthermore, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was scheduled to attend the nomination event of Ms. Droupadi Murmu, in Delhi.  However, in regard to the State Cabinet Meeting, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy cancelled his Delhi visit.

Meanwhile, Mr. Vijayasai Reddy, the Member of Parliament (MP) of the YSRCP in Delhi and Lok Sabha leader Mr. Mithun Reddy will attend the nomination ceremony, on behalf of the YSRCP (Andhra Pradesh) Government. 

Besides the YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha’s Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has also announced its support for Draupadi Murmu’s candidature.
