The Andhra Pradesh Government, on the 27th of August, took a key decision regarding the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 situation.

Due to the massive increase in the Novel Coronavirus cases in the past two months, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) decided to increase the number of labs testing COVID-19.

The decision to increase the COVID-19 testing labs would help the State Medical department to conduct a large number of the Coronavirus tests.

In regard to this, the Andhra Pradesh Government reduced the amount of Coronavirus testing in private labs.

As part of the Novel Coronavirus control in the State, the state fixed Rs. 1,600 for the test in government labs. Previously, the cost for the Novel Coronavirus testing at government labs was Rs. 2,400.

Meanwhile, prices for COVID-19 test in private labs was earlier fixed at Rs. 2,900, but now has been reduced to Rs. 1,900.

The YSRCP Government issued an order regarding the same.

Andhra Pradesh has a total of 3,93,090 positive cases, of which 94,209 are active cases, 2,95,24 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,633 are deceased.
