A massive fire broke out at a fireworks godown near Chinna Yatapalem of Aripaka Panchayat in Sabbavaram Mandal of Anakapalli district.  

Four people identified as  Shankar Rao (48,) Kamalamma (38,) Mahesh and Prasad have been seriously injured and are currently being treated at a State run hospital.  They were shifted to the hospital by locals after the explosion happened and informed the police.  Upon receiving the information, the police and fire personnel reached the accident site and inspected the area.

According to the initial investigation, the blast occurred when the injured were involved in making fireworks secretly. 

The Police registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
