In Andhra Pradesh, approximately 558 students returned from Ukraine, amid the ongoing Ukraine-Russia invasion conflict.

Till the 7th of March, the Indian Government, with special flights under the “Operation Ganga” brought over 7,000 stranded students from Ukraine, of which 558 are from the Telugu State of Andhra Pradesh. The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government said, in the past 24 hours, 109 students safely returned to A.P. Furthermore, there are 770 students trapped in Ukraine, of which 667 returned to their native place and the remaining students are expected to return soon.

The Deputy Advisor of Non Residential Indian (NRI) informed the aforementioned data to the Andhra Pradesh Government, on the 6th of March, Sunday. Furthermore, Mr. (APNRT) President Mr. Venkat Medapati, who is overseeing the situation said, “Students from Hungary from the state have almost reached Andhra Pradesh.” Notably, the Indian embassy in Ukraine said it had received information that another 1,100 Indians were coming to Hungary from Ukraine.

Meanwhile, in Andhra Pradesh, the A.P., Bhavan Principal Resident Commissioner Mr. Praveen Prakash has set up facilities for all those coming from the border countries of Ukraine. In addition, the authorities said all of them would be repatriated to their native villages across the State from Delhi and Mumbai, via Bangalore and Hyderabad airports.
