Amit Shah, the Home Minister of India, on the 29th of May, called Y.S., Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, to discuss the Novel Coronavirus situation.

During the phone call, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy explained the strategy of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) to control the spread of the Novel Cronavirus or COVID-19.  He also informed Mr. Shah about the state’s situation due to the Coronavirus infection.

The call came at a time. when the lockdown 4.0., is proposed to end in two days, the 31st of May.  In the wake of this, the Central Government is taking suggestions from state governments regarding the extension of the lockdown and post lockdown strategies.

The home minister spoke to all chief ministers and sought their views on extending the lockdown after the 31st of May.

Meanwhile, Amit Shah also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussed about the COVID-19 situation across the nation.

The final call regarding the lockdown is expected to be announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the 30th of May.
