After conducting the nationwide strike or Bharat Bandh, 13 farmers’ leaders are set to meet Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister. 

The meeting started at 7:00 P.M., a day ahead of the 6th round of talks with the Central Government.  The 6th round of talk is scheduled to be held on the 9th of December.

The delegation of 13 leaders comprise Rakesh Tikait, Gurnam Singh Chaduni, Hannan Mollah, Shiv Kumar Kakkaji, Balbir Singh Rajewal, Raldu Singh Mansa, Manjeet Singh Rai, Buta Singh Burjgil, Harinder Singh Lakhowal, Darshan Pal, Kulwant Singh Sandhu, Bodh Singh Mansa and Jagjit Singh Dallewal.

Earlier, the farmer unions addressed a press conference after the culmination of the Bharat Bandh.

During the conference, the farmers association said the Bharat Bandh was observed at around 10,000 places in 25 states and was a success.

The Bharat Bandh was called by the farmers of Punjab and Haryana, on the 8th of December.

The strike started at 11:00 A.M., and continued till 3:00 P.M., across India.

The decision to conduct a nationwide strike was taken on the 5th of December, after the 5th round of talks against the three agri laws.

The meeting between the farmers’ leaders and Home Minister Amit Shah is underway at Mr. Shah’s residence in New Delhi.
